Community-led housing
We are experts in community-led housing. We provide both technical advice and architectural services to groups developing housing projects for community benefit. Our in-house advisors are accredited with the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) and provide advice from the very beginning, on group formation, access to finance, creating your vision, finding the right partners and planning your project.
OUR APPROACH
The developed our participatory approaches during a two-year action-research project in which we applied our existing expertise of how to design and build communities to the community-led housing sector.
Our design-led approach, utilises Bioregional’s 10 One Planet Principles, which provide community-led housing groups with an easy to understand and communicate framework to vision, plan, build and live in their new community. These four phases are based on a traditional development process.
