Sammy-Jo has worked in London, Oxfordshire, and Sydney, Australia practicing mostly in the residential sector. She has a curiosity for how things work, and a passion for creating a sense of place in the built environment.
The focus of her most recent projects has been domestic retrofit, where she has carried out analysis of existed building conditions, put together initial evaluations of improvement options, and assisted with tender packages.
Sammy-Jo was nominated as a RIBA Black Architect of the future in 2018 for her masters thesis project which focussed on Sarajevo and healing from community trauma post war.
