“PLUG-In Hebron” is an initiative with a broad agenda of empowerment, aimed at an active, civic-led demilitarisation and reclamation of public space, centred around a research lab and workshop, sited in a vernacular building in the Old City of Hebron, Palestine. The proposal was created in collaboration with the Building Sumud Project as an entry in the [UN]Restricted Access international design competition organised by Architecture for Humanity. It came first in the “Small Scale Interventions” category and was exhibited at the 2012 Venice Architecture Biennale.
