A small extension in Wolvercote, Oxford.
In fulfilling the client brief an outdoor room provides an intimate external space, which makes optimum use of reflected natural light. The modest sized living area is given a spacious feel though west facing clerestory glazing and a strong visual connection with the outdoor room and existing house. The design ensures a strong difference between ‘served’ and ‘service’ spaces.
T/D took the design through planning with the client self-building the project to completion.
